¨ Most National Park Service sites and many other federal recreation areas have a bookstore in their visitor center or headquarters. These stores are run by non-profit Cooperating Associations, which donate a portion of their profits for special projects which benefit all visitors to that area. If you live near or are visiting one of those areas, ask for a copy of the book at their sales location.

You can find the websites for individual cooperating associations, listed by the name of the park, by clicking on the link for Cooperating Associations . If you aren’t sure about the name of a park, check the website for the Association of Partners for Public Lands. Their site includes a list of Cooperating Associations by state and a separate member directory which includes the website for each group.

NOTE: Bookstores in park visitor centers have limited shelf space and each cooperating association has a rigorous review process to determine which books they will carry. This process sometimes takes many months, and since Hey Ranger 2 was not released until late May 2007, it may not be available yet in your favorite park.
